Does it have an unmount or eject option if you right-click on the drive?

Yeah that worked, but now it doesn't recognize USB drives when I plug them in. Nothing appears in Windows Explorer so I have to go to Disk Management and keep assigning drive letters to every drive I plug into.

This all happened after I managed to eject the ghost drive up above. Disk Management is not saving the drive letters.

Automount was disabled. Not sure how that happened but will test it later.

Rufus uses the automount function in its code. Your problem is something that happens every once in a while, but I'm not sure what triggers it either.

Well I no longer have to manually enter drive letters in Disk Management, but AutoPlay no longer automatically open the folders when the drive is inserted, even though it's turned on in Settings.

Jeez, I didn't mean to open up a can of worms here, but it's like one issue here is related to the next, to the next... :unsure:

Try this:
Toggle AutoPlay Settings:
Go to Settings, select Bluetooth & devices, click AutoPlay, and toggle the main switch off and then back on.
Configure Defaults: Within the AutoPlay menu, ensure "Removable drive" and "Memory card" are set to desired actions, such as "Open folder to view files (File Explorer)".

Yeah, I did all that. Still not opening, automatically.

I remember back in Vista (?) days, MS disabled doing that option with USBs as a security precaution against an unknown USB auto-launching malware when a foreign device was plugged in. Then it came back again. The times change.

Looks great until you have to look up each device ID to try to find out which one is which. With multiple portable drives and USB sticks, that can be somewhat difficult.
