How do I get rid of this stupid icon in Edge?

I looked for the setting and I can't find it.

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!

Settings > App and Notification Settings > Sidebar visibility > select Off, Sidebar will never show radio button (which is an out-and-out utter lie because the Copilot button, which is part of the Sidebar, will still show until all of the the following steps)
Settings > App and Notification Settings > Copilot > Show Copilot on the Toolbar > Off (which now reveals the following)
Settings > App and Notification Settings > Show Sidebar button > Off

Then
Go to your search option
Search for Firefox/Google Chrome/Brave/Opera/LibreWolf
Download and install as many as you want
Close Edge and never use it again
There, that annoying in-your-face Edge Copilot icon has gone forever

Normally, you should be able to use an option in the tutorial below to remove the Copilot icon from the toolbar in Edge.

There is no copilot setting in there.

Odd, you don't have anything listed under "App and notification settings".

As a test, copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Edge and press Enter. It's a direct link to the step 4 setting.

All that did was take me to something called "Top settings" and underneath that, "My profile". Nothing there for copilot

I haven't signed into anything under my profile in my browser and only signed into the local account for the OS.

I must admit I don't know why you don't have that setting available since it's out in public builds, and you are in the US.

Or if somebody comes up with a registry or Group Policy hack or something.
