MS has to offer all those apps because they can't just tailor make it for only what you want. It has to be designed for people to chose what apps they want to use ! Or delete !! JMO

Indeed one persons important app is another persons crap app.

The tutorial #4 and 5 will give you a nice list pick and choose which ones are crap or not.

Either what ThrashZone said or use something like REVO and uninstall anything you dont want to you're hearts content. Revo creates a restore point after every uninstall ( If you want it ) and also the option to remove everything it leaves behind from the registry and also dormant folders. So if you do get rid of something that causes issues, You can always go back.

The only thing I cannot delete is get started even Revo (free version) won't find it

There are other programs different than Revo that does a better job, but you must know what you are doing with these Malware Removal programs that removes it all but like i said you better know what you are doing or it could bork your machine if you remove the wrong thing !!

Agreed here, Can't get rid of it. Im sure theres something out there that will. We just aint found it yet xD
I also tried the old commands in powershell from 10 such as Get-AppxPackage *getstarted* | Remove-AppxPackage etc

Nothing really happened to be fair.

Yeah seems that nothing will find it and remove it at this point. Maybe need to have a look manually and go from there.

Getting rid of Get Started has been one of my principal causes in W11 since I installed it. I have searched far and wide for a way, and found nothing. The da--ed thing doesn't even WORK on my machines, fer cryin' out loud! I get to about the second or third page of it, and it just closes itself. I just want it out of my All Apps list, because there is absolutely ZERO chance I will ever want to use it.

If it actually DOES something in 11, MS should tell us what that is.

Wise Program Uninstaller offers an option to remove the Get Started App. I tend to use the PortableApps.com version here when needed

Apologies, I did try immediately after my post with a number of unwanted apps, which were satisfactorily removed, but then I received an unrevealing Error message: "Operation failed" when I chose to safe uninstall the Get Started app. It's a persistent little b****** and. none of the other Uninstaller Apps I've tested seem to offer the uninstall option for this app, so presumably MS has either hard-coded it into the system, possibly as a "walk through" after setting up 'new users, or it is hooked in to the settings features the app normally walks through; but it is irritating to have this clutter when it's no longer needed. The search continues...

You can give winget a try. Its a good way to remove unwanted apps like winget uninstall cortana.
