Solved How do I switch this option to search tenforums off

Windows 11 Pro + Win11 Canary VM.
Every time I go to do a search in Edge, it does this. It thinks I want to search tenforums. I cannot find where it is set.

Any ideas ?

edit: brute forced solution my reseting all settings.

Hyper-V (a vm runs almost as fast as my older laptop)
Go to Settings --> "Privacy, search, and services" then scroll all the way to the bottom --> "Address bar and search" Toggle the arrow. Should be a tab near the top labeled "Show me suggestions from history, favorites and other data on this device using my typed characters" I cannot be sure if this will fix but certainly your issue is with search history.

I'm a computer enthusiast so have quite a few systems that I run. More like an advanced hobby.
BamalnArk's answer is what I used. For some reason Win11 on HPs has suggestions from history and favorites selected by default.

Yep - it was this poxy thing - turned it off, and issue went away. Also got rid of Bing hijacking things (I hate Bing) a well. Sanity restored. Many thanks.

edit: how the hell does it get turned on - I have always had all these settings off!

Also here I "Uninstall" Bing as well but have seen it pop up again after MS Updates. However even with it uninstalled in Edge it still shows up in other places within Windows.

True that. I do the same..... T'would be nice if MS gave us a central "off switch" for Bing, but there's too much ad revenue involved methinks.
