This overlay recently started appearing (today?) at the top of my screen when I click on an open app on the taskbar. The icons are home, 3 icons for recently opened apps, some x-box thing I've never opened, steam, and settings.

Since I frequently click on apps on taskbar to switch quickly, this feature makes it take much, much longer to do so. I want to make it go away, but I can't find information without knowing the name of the feature. It's some sort of new taskbar overlay, but I can't find anything like it in a web search, probably because it's new. Also, turning off taskbar widgets did not make it go away either.

Settings/Gaming/Game bar, disable the options and make sure it is not set to start when you log in.
