How Do You Disable Windows 11 Automatic Updates in Windows 11 Home

Yes, metered connections have allowed through one very small update each year - PC Health Check KB4023057 / KB5005463 [<2MB].

And then, there are those of us, who just hate MS updates, for the years of bugs they have inserted into our PC's.
And the total crashes caused by those bugs.

And I do like a program with a colorful and interesting GUI.
So I tried, and really like "Stopupdates10.exe" that I first heard about on the Win-10 forum. I think!

It does give the option of turning MS Updates back ON, if you so wish. I just don't!
And, it works great on Windows 11/Pro/64, which is the only version I use.

thank you for the link. Is it working on windows 11? For now the only option I found is to delete the service from linux boot media

So does "StopUpdates10Setup.exe"

I use it, after every install of Win-10 or Win-11.

Run it to Hard Block all MS Updates, and run it again to UN-Block updates if you ever want to.

I tested this batch file on 21H2 and 22H2 builds that I wanted to freeze for testing purposes. Unfortunately, after restarting, the CPU was pegged and the culprit was Windows Update, so this batch file did not work for me. YMMV.

Not to mention the script removes C:\AMD, C:\Intel, C:\NVIDIA folders without asking you first. I don't see how those are related to WU.
