How does Notepad "Open content from the previous session" store data?

Hello,

A few reboots later...I opened Notepad.
It populated some tabs with some previous files I had opened from a local file.
I assume it's the setting titled above.
How exactly does this work? I've never seen it do this before.
Does it store Notepad stuff in my account in the cloud?

I have another question about the released notepad version 11.2307.27.0. I have two WIndows 11 Pro computers, both are version 22H2 - 22621.2428 . Each have the same notepad version installed. But only one computer has the latest Notepad setting "Wanneer kladblok wordt gestart" available. See enclosed screenshots for the compare. I compared all notepad registry settings on both computers, and they are the same !

So how could it be possible that the setting "Wanneer kladblok wordt gestart" is only available on one computer?
I re-installed notepad, but with the same result. I do not understand how this is possible.

Anyone who can help?

Update: I restarted the Windows computer that had the missing latest Notepad setting. And this time suddenly I am informed by the Notepad app it has an extra setting available: yes, exactly: the MISSING SETTING MAGICALLY APPEARED. I really have no clue how this can happen, because as I said before both of my computer had the same Notepad App version (11.2307.27.0).

Conclusion: my missing Notepad settiing suddenly appeared after a reboot. The mystery how this discrepancy was possible will remain a question forever.

Maybe just like drivers and other software, a reboot is required for it to fully work.
