How to add app to exclusion list of Malwarebytes Firewall Control

Hi

I have Visual Studio Code that update itself regularly with plugins and I need to get notification when an app want to access the internet so I get many notifications prompt me to allow or deny VS Code connection. I can not find a way to add this app to exclusion list also I googled and found that I can do this from Windows 11 firewall but this did not work.

Any ideas ?

You can add the updater's exe to the exclusion or the path, if the exe changes. It has to be typed with capital letters.

Yes the firewall see that exe changed so it keep popup the prompt, Thanks I am testing now...

Yes, I hate that, like windows apps, each new version has the new path with a random number, it is crazy. I complained to MS, that it is inadequate for security reasons ( like network firewall rules) and they were like, WHAT, what is a firewall, completely missing the point?!

Dont waste your energy. I used to use MS Authenticator and because of time change the authenticator display invalid codes, complained alot but nothing. I am stuck now and trying to move to Authy.

New problem found. The path to the updated file changes regularly for example

C:\Users\myuser\AppData\Local\Temp\pm456\resources\app\ServiceHub\Services\Microsoft.VisualStudio.Setup.Service

The temp folder keep changed

You could allow temp folder, but that is not a good idea, since that is where malware resides the most.
I have one gaming app, which keeps creating a random exe in temp folder, I will not allow it obviously.
Silly devs, why they makes basic things so complicated. Are they nuts or something. Unbelievable. :nope:
