Solved How to add exclusions to cookie deletions

I used to use FF exclusively. Maybe I should go back to it and play the cookie game. Most of the sites that I need to log into are few. But I do want to protect them from deletion so NO sign in is mandated. Also, I should know how to do this!! I find pc's most valuable for so much and unfortunately a very necessary EVIL!! Only to me I might add. They do bedevil me constantly. Thank you again.

Patsy1011 You may delete all cookies in Chrome while saving the ones you like. Not complicated.

Open Settings > navigate to "Privacy and Security" > "Site Settings" > "View permissions and data stored across sites" > scroll down to "Additional content settings" > "On-device site data" > select "Delete data sites have saved to your device when you close all windows" > scroll down to "Customized Behaviors" > select "Add" and enter/copy&paste URL of the site whose cookies you want to save, and > select "Save". Done.

BTW, you have absolutely no need for CCleaner. All major Chromium browsers have settings to carry out some cookie management in the address bar, e.g. in Edge click on the padlock icon.

User tips:

In Chrome you may take a shortcut to "On-device data" like this: click on the icon at left of the URL and then on "Cookies and site data", click on "Manage on-device site data", then on "Manage site data", and proceed as above to enter URL of cookies you wish to save.

I believe I posted a link for Patsy to what you suggest. I also found in my testing that when Chrome is set to auto delete, session cookies were removed and login had to be re-performed.

Others may have a different experience.

Sadly, Patsy, I am yet to do more testing with my cookie manager for Firefox. It may have something to do with updates from Firefox

I've had no such problems in either Chrome nor Edge.

i use cookie autodelete .. but it 'may' be discontinued in the future by google.
but at the moment it still works and functions as required and i am hoping for an update.

you can save the web cookies you want all the rest get auto deleted.
