How to Bypass Windows 11 System Requirements in One Command

Right, if you're doing a clean install. This thread is more about WU. If I had to do a clean install every week (being an Insider), well, I hate to even contemplate that.

I have several Windows 10 PC that are only used with WMC to drive my HDTVs, so I plan to leave them on Windows 10. I have a friend that does not want to continue using Windows 10 after October, but has a machine with enough capabilities, if it could move to Windows 11. I hope to help him move a system that uses an Intel Core i5-4670K. I wanted to test the process first, so I cloned the drive of a laptop that uses the Core i5-430M, since it supports both SSE4.2, and POPCNT. I ran the Win11-Req-Bypass script, and selected 1 to select the bypass, and it appeared to run without errors.

I was not sure of the next step. I was hoping that Windows Update would just show Windows 11 as available, after a restart, but that did not happen. I download Windows 11 from Microsoft to a flash drive, and planned to run setup from within Windows 10, but I thought I should check here first.

I would appriciate any help or suggestions.

Thanks

edit: I went ahead and tried to install Windows 11 from the flash drive. I received the warning about not meeting the system requirements, ...., no longer be supported, and won't be entitled to receive updates...

I have yet to accept, and continue, hoping to get guidance

Thanks again

The upgrade to Windows 11 completed loading from the flash drive. I went into Windows Update, and there were a couple small update available, and they installed. Before working with my friend to upgrade his system, I had a couple of additional questions.

Is the upgrade directly from Windows Update is what should be expected, or if it is usually required to separately install Windows 11 from an installation source?

Are any suggested follow on steps, after installation completes, such as options 2, or 3 available running the script?

Thanks

Hi, I have now used this on 8 machines. I had to fight a couple of them, but 5 of the 8 did upgrade successfully. What's odd is that on the other three, it makes it all the way to "restart to update to Windows 11", the update process begins, it goes through (at least what looks like) the entire Windows 11 update process, the UI changes on the update screen etc....computer restarts at the end, and Windows 10 is back! Very strange. I'm just going to use a rufus bootstick for those.

Hello. After using that Powershell command to avoid TPM check, this pop up on my Update and Security tab. How can I fix this?

Just a heads up, you usually don't want this feature on. A lot more likely to get buggy updates with this enabled. For stability keep this option off.

This one .cmd is all I ever run. Never had any computer have issues installing via iso mounted inside windows (upgrade from win 7, win 10 or from 22h2 to 24h2)

Hi!

I just had to create an account just to say THANKS for this particular solution to my long lasting issue with updating my oldest computer. Was 22H2 and I have tried all the other old "hacks" to get it past the compability checks, but it has always failed. Even the script on this topic. However, this reply made me try this solution, and it just worked! :) I ran the .cmd and then just ran setup.exe from the downloaded iso and it just worked.

Many thanks!
