You'll probably have to try some 3rd party themes/software.

More than likely that's going to be the only way to get that feature returned. MS isn't going to either change the corners or make an option available to make the square again.

...MS isn't going to change the corners...
I wouldn't be too sure of that! Lately, MS has a growing reputation for changing their mind more often than my ex used to!!! :p

I do! I see it as a cosmetic novelty that's gonna get boring really fast.
Not that I dislike it..., it is somewhat aesthetically pleasing, but boring!

Honestly square is boring and I doubt that MS will come up with a cool idea anytime soon. They have all of that money and resources and they still can't get the right people to deliver a cool looking interface.

Windows graphic design approach and trends (as I see it):

Watch what significant visual changes Apple; and now Android introduce > Wait long enough to see if a 'look' gains significant popularity with users, media designers, Linux Desktop developers etc. > Come up with something similar, but not identical > Give the agreed design framework to the programmers with instructions to make it work for the next major Windows OS release.

Long-periods without both interface and cosmetic change/modernisation = familiar, at the expense of appearing stagnant & boring vs. Too frequent or too many drastic changes = possible confusion, frustration and dissatisfaction. If the majority of reviewers and users consider that, immediately and over time, the changes are largely positive, even if some 'tweaks' are introduced based on post-release feedback, it's a success. If not.... Anyone remember the fate of largely unrivalled office products such as Wordperfect, Lotus 123 or DBase that didn't adapt successfully to change?

The same general approach applies to the design of all consumer products.

I bet MS might even be making it further similar to MacOS. For instance, when applications is minimized there are animation the apps appears like a balloon being sucked up by the taskbar.🎈:hot:
