Solved How to change recovery email address.

Hi. I updated my email account with my brand new email address. A nice unique paid for one. Problem is when I sign in to microsoft account it sometimes sends a confirmation to my OLD email address that was set up over 10 years ago. don't use this email address anymore but have to keep it because of microsoft. How can I get around this. Any help on this?

To change the confirmation email address on your Microsoft account, sign in to your account, navigate to the "Security" section, then under "Advanced security options," you can add or edit your verification email address, which functions as your confirmation address; you will need to verify the new address through an email sent to it.

Sign in to your Microsoft Account > Account Manager (circle icon far right) > My profile > Your info > Account info > Edit account info.

You should check such info regularly not wait 10 years.

Setup forwarding from your old email. I bottleneck all emails into one, it is easier and safer than setting up all email accounts.
