how to charge folder color

How can I change the color of a folder or file only when the mouse pointer hovers over it for example, the file or folder turns green on hover?

I doubt it's possible..., certainly not without the use of 3rd party software.

I don't think Folder Painter will work for hover only.

Naw..., not possible.
Highlight and HotTrackingColor, yes..., anything over and above that, highly unlikely.

I think Folder Marker: Mark important folders to make them easier to find - might be able to do that. But maybe only the paid version, not sure.

Maybe consider custom folders and fonts..., unless we're all barkin up the wrong tree...
