Solved How to clone OS from SATA SSD to NVMe SSD


indeed I am doing clean-install. should be done in minutes. cannot waste too long time. (before this clone, I had tested Windows 11, working)

when PC is up, will post its pic.

If I were you, I will keep the OS separate. M.2 SSD is a waste as a data storage. Use your old SSD for data so if your OS gets into trouble, you can easily deal with it fast without worrying about your data.

That will be also easier to do PC maintenance.

This time I was always worrying about data partition loss when clone or image. at final I went to clean install, one reason is I can control disk partition. to keep data partition intact.

Update

A way is to ghost disk-to-disk.

Did clone OS Windows 7 from SATA SSD to NVMe SSD. when done, bootup no issue.
