How to do a search windows explorer

Hi I have tried this
*.txt modified:04-12-2020..25-01-2026
*.doc modified:04-12-2020..25-01-2026

Nothing is found even though there are definatly files. What am I doing wrong?

I randomly have similar issues with specific folders on my system, i found it's down to folder /file permissions. Try granting yourself access permissions.

I just tested it and even date: ‎January ‎28, ‎2026 works as well as just putting in the date 2026-01-28 without date: in front of it

    The only thing it lack is USB-3.2 on the front face but it has 3.0 on the back
No I never index. If I did I would have to rebuild every day. As for January ‎28, ‎2026 works as well Of course that would work you gave a month name and the day was 28 so it could not be a month. try it as I did.

It generally updates itself as files change without any rebuild being required.
