Greetings,

I'm phrasing this as a question (for those in my boat) but offer a workaround at the same time.

The problem seems to be that some of us (maybe with 14 inch screens?) at 1080p are finding the taskbar icons too big. We want a size smaller. There are 1000s of us in the Feedback Hub.

That's RATHER chunky. The net immediately offered a handy dandy fix -- except that -- it didn't work for some of us. It made icons smaller but pushed them far from each other. Silly looking.

So then I had to seriously ask myself: why do I need to see the taskbar at all? The only real answer is like to see what time it is. (It has only occurred to me now to see if Firefox offers a plugin that shows the date and time. I digress.) Frankly since I surf myself silly I'd rather retake that screen space. Like so --

So I gave AUTOMATICALLY HIDE TASKBAR a long try. And it's really quite fine. I've never been THAT person with a taskbar or Mac OS Dock. But it is REALLY so much cleaner actually. And when my weaker eyes do need to see the taskbar -- it's a little bigger and easier to see.

If this helps anybody. Cheers.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
The display of things on my new Notebook was too small at the 'recommended' resolution of 1920x1080 so I set it at 1366x768, quite good for my eyes.
