How to get the Windows 10 to Windows 11 update to show up?

Hello,

I already updated this machine twice from Windows 10 doing testing, etc.
For some reason the "Windows 11 Update" is not showing for a day or so on my fresh Windows 10 install (which I reinstalled again because it wasn't showing up).
It just has the "Get Ready for Windows 11..." info box.
I downloaded the "PC Health Check" app and all (not sure if this triggers something) and ran it a couple of times.

Is there some sort of trick to this?

Thanks!

Don't confuse upDATE with upGRADE - you update a version within itself, you upgrade from one version to the next

" For some reason the "Windows 11 Update" is not showing for a day or so on my fresh Windows 10 install "
So, what is the problem. It`s not gonna show the Windows 11 Update 30 seconds after you install W10.
Time has to pass, steps have to be taken.
And why are you reinstalling W10 after a day or so when you see the Windows 11 update ?
That makes no sense at all.

Did you run WhynotWindows11 ?

This is what my Windows 10 Home installation says. All my hardware and settings are Windows 11 compatible.
This can only mean one thing.
My blocking of "telemetry" is... working. :D

Thanks!
If the goal was to get to Windows 11 anyway, why not just skip the installation of Windows 10 and do the clean install with Windows 11 instead?

I read somewhere on the Microsoft site that you needed a separate license for Windows 11 or something to do a fresh install.

No, you don`t, W10 is the license.
All you need is your W10 digital license or key tied to your Microsoft Account.
Did you just arrive from Mars, or just climb out of a time capsule ? :)

I read somewhere on the Microsoft site that you needed a separate license for Windows 11 or something to do a fresh install.
Nope. Product Keys and digital licenses are exactly the same for Windows 10 & 11.

Yo, I didn't even know there was a Windows 11 until a couple of weeks ago. lol

Anyways, this install tool needs some work. Upon first update, the Taskbar bombs out and then little a circle with red dot appears on corner. Looks like it's "recording" but I realized it's not a recording dot but a red version of the orange dot. OK fine. Then clicking on it, it pops out to its own little window in a random part of the desktop. I waited a bit and selected the restart from it. It was OK after restart though.

Since you already have Windows 11 Pro listed as your OS in your specs, I will consider this case closed, but it was a good laugh :)

I made the USB stick install tool. After it installed, the first update downloaded a whole bunch of stuff and made the taskbar blank and unclickable apart from the circle notification thing which appeared later. I thought it failed.

I had installed it twice via Windows 10 Update trying to get stuff to work right. Thank you guys for letting me know you can fresh install it. Maybe this version will work better. :p

Given your previous posts in total confusion, I'm not quite sure that you're qualified to offer that criticism. It's obvious any confusion and/or difficulties clearly is a PBCAK

How is the problem in me, if all I did was make the USB, boot it. then do a Windows Update and it bombs out the taskbar? I came back like an hour later and it was still blank so I just said "forget it"...and selected restart from a teleporting "update notification icon".
