how to make full screen games black borders disappear

@Feuer what other settings do i need to change i have only changed resolution to width 1920 and height to 1080
Run in windowed mode rather than going fullscreen
windowed=true and Override the width/height settings shown above and always stretch to fullscreen
; Note: Can be combined with 'windowed=true' to get windowed-fullscreen aka borderless mode
fullscreen=true is this correct

it works but the game can only run in software rendering and not 3d car rendering since it is not allowed with cnc-draw so the graphics are not perfect

What you are looking for is exist in .ini file ;-)

is there any other programmes that will allow 3d render make the game 1920x1080 chrome not small screen when alt tab, not crash as well and get rid of the black bars other than dxwnd and dgvoodo2
I haven't used cnc, but from the readme I realized it is for software rendering only, no hardware acceleration. Have you tried to go in nVidia Control Panel (available only if you install the full drivers package from nVidia), display section, Adjust Desktop Size and Position, and select Full screen? This works for me. I play all my games in full screen without annoying black borders. The image is stretched and characters look a little fatter, but who cares! I prefer that than the annoying black bars.

I don't have this option for my first option because it is connected via VGA, but on my second monitor there is also a second tab, Size were I can resize the image. If you also have it, you can zoom the picture to eliminate the black bars:

Of course for all the above to work, make sure you have the latest official driver from nVidia, don't rely on Windows Update.

If the option is available for your monitor, you can resize the image and crop the black borders. I haven't done it, so I cannot tell if it works, but it should. It is at the same section as scaling.

yes my computer does has size this is what i have changed do i need to do anything else

chrome still goes to small screen though when alt tab out :mad::mad::mad:

even when i click on restore defaults

i still get black borders
If Chrome does this for a specific website, then try another browser such as Microsoft Edge or Firefox. It is probably at the site code to keep the original aspect ratio and you cannot override it. I would try setting a 4:3 resolution, such as 1280x1024, 1400x1050 or 1440x1080 and use nVidia Control Panel to stretch the image. If Chrome tries to keep the 4:3 aspect ratio, it should fill the screen at this resolution. I have successfully used this trick to make Netflix fill the screen at old 4:3 series such as Star Trek. Unfortunately, this trick doesn't work on Disney Plus because all old movies are presented at 16:9 with the black bars fixed at the video... :(

Set a 4:3 resolution for the monitor first and then select the same resolution for the game. If you have a full HD monitor (1920x1080), then 1440x1080 will give you the best image. Select full screen from nVidia Control Panel and you should see the image stretch to fill the screen.

You will do it only when you want to play a 4:3 game, not permanently. Yes, if your desktop is full of icons, they will be relocated, but there are utilities to save their position for each resolution and restore it afterwards. You set the resolution from nVidia Control Panel, Display, Screen Resolution (or similar, I am not on my computer right now).

full screen without annoying black borders. The image is stretched and characters look a little fatter, but who cares! I prefer that than the annoying black bars.
That's how I setup my very first wide screen tv. In my mind, I paid for wide screen and I want what I paid for. It did take a little getting use to. Now it drives me batty when the videos are stretched.
