I have Windows 11 latest updated version on my pc. It is updated from downloaded iso from Microsoft website of version 1702 . Can we make Windows 11 iso updated just modifying 1702 version ?

I was looking for windows iso latest made by us which would be a fresh installation copy.

The UUP Dump method will get you the latest version of the ISO.

The Microsoft catalog has KB# for Windows updates / upgrades.

There are no reported KB# for Windows iso updates.




To have updates of the latest Windows iso these are options

a) Download and install the latest Windows Media Creation Tool (Windows iso) onto the flash drive (requires a format)

b) Use Ventoy and have multiple bootable Windows iso versions on the same flash drive

I downloaded and used USBUpdate.ps1 .
I updated copied contents from mounted iso of WINDOWS 11 using USBUpdate.ps1. This script updated install.wim in sources folder of copied contents. Now install.wim shows 17 July 2023 as modified date in details. It updates USB Windows 10 or Windows 11 installation media.
Only we have to download windows updates from windows update catalogue.

I don't know if it works in Windows 11, but I used nLite to slipstream updates in Windows XP. For Vista and higher it was vLite. Alternatively download the updates from Microsoft Update Catalogue and include them in the USB for manual installation without downloading again.

Hello @spapakons , welcome.
USBUpdate.ps1 scripts add windows updates from windows update files downloaded from Microsoft update catalogue for Windows 11 and thus size of install.wim increases , in my case , it changed from 34,89,849 KB to 52,23,995 KB after applying updates from location of folder containing downloaded update files.
Please see images attached herewith.
Secondly to see more working of USBUpdate.ps1, right click on it, click show more options and click on edit. We can run any powershell command shown alphabetically in the menu style, without practically typing commands.
