Solved How To Make Windows 11 Taskbar Uncombined and Unlocked


I've just realize that my operating system is really messy now, too many registry hack I think.
It must be called Windows 10,5, because it's not Windows 10 and not yet Windows 11
:D :D :D

oooh... did that in reg. before but access denied.

now you mentioned it, tried it in cmd and worked. :D

classic menu is back!!! :giggle:

have you encountered this visual bug in startisback?

when i go to All Programs and right-click on the app lists everything turns dark.

Nope. Running just fine here. But I think we have to consider this:
- If we apply a dark colored theme, the text will automatically being white (light), and
- If we apply a light colored theme, the text will also automatically being black (dark).

It shouldn't be that hard. Just a list of programs... Don't need letter categories, grouping, double spacing, etc.
Just a list of programs, with no scrolling required.

You mean like this (Here's an XP VM running - I prefer taskbar, menu system etc far more than current W10/W11 design) -- here using the Luma black theme which gives the curved taskbar and black edges with a desktop pic of a Jaguar !!

I realize MS is trying to set things up in "nested pages" rather than big lists.
It will be a lot easier for those with smaller screens.

I just hope they make it an option so those of us with big screens, don't have to scroll till we die.
I noticed they made the scroll bars skinnier as well. ;/

I suddenly remember your question about a script or batch file. I don't really know how to make it, but I think this worth to try:

It's also copy the explorer.exe from the old version, but you don't have to replace the original one.
Let's name it explorer2.exe or something and put it in C:\Windows\

Open regedit, go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Find a REG_SZ Shell, set the value to explorer2.exe

Restart computer

I believe this one can be done by simply double-clicking a compiled REG or BAT file
Note: I never tried this method

i just did a clean install and apparently ALL of those hacks that didnt seem to work actually do work.

I tried doing this:

But when I rebooted, I got a black background with no taskbar, Start menu, etc. I'm on 22000.71. Anyone tried with that?
