How to remove labels from icons?

How can I do (via the registry or via the app) to remove the icon labels in the start menu? Any suggestion?

😄 So it doesn’t allow icons to be named the same thing? That’s weird, or is it? I would of thought that due to the icon itself having different properties it would be OK to have the same name?

They all get named in the same folder, mostly, so yeah, they can't be the same name.

Yeah makes sense. Not sure what I was thinking 🤪
I think in Fences4 (or something I own) it allows you to hide names of icons. I’ll have to look.

I loved Fences, but, I can't use it!
Three things:
- it perpetually messes up your Desktop Icon array,
- my screenshots land on the Desktop way the hell up in the top left corner of my upper 4K monitor instead of the Main,
- it screws up QTTabBar! 🤷‍♂️

That's a shame. Not sure what would cause the array issue.

So apparently this is possible using Windows FX, to hide labels and overlays but it’s a paid program on a subscription base.

I have a reasonable suspicion that many do not know how powerful this almost abandoned software, Dexpot really is!
Not only does it provide the ability to create true, isolated Desktop environments, with their own folders and desktop elements, but...,
it has a ton of options for improving Windows' functionality and your productivity flow!

I threw together a quick sample video...
(Watch in HD full screen is best!)
(In this sample, it's running on Windows Canary 25997.1010)

That looks nice :) I've seen a "Transparency" section in the video. Does Dexpot allow to manage Explorer and Cmd transparency?
I'm used to Black Glass Enhanced on Win 7, but I guess it doesn't work on Win 11...

Pretty much..., I'm not totally sure how it reacts with the Explorer SDK, but, I run StartAllBack in Windows 7 Mode, so it's good here...
