How to Stop Marcum Start Up Permanently?

I've been working to reduce my list of start up apps when Windows first boots up, but Marcum Reflect is a tricky one.

The thing is...I HAVE got this to not auto run at startup, removing it from places like msconfig, disabling in services, start up app settings and my Autorun manager app. The problem is, when I load the program, it reinvokes the start up process every time. Not sure what about the program internally is doing that.

How can I deal with this pesky quirk? I really only use it a few times a year (and don't need it loaded every single day forever).

The ones that keep returning are:
  • Marcum Reflect Monitor
  • Marcum Reflect UI Watcher
  • Marcum Reflect Utility Service

First, it's Macrium, not Marcum.

Second, if you use Macrium Reflect, leave everything alone. The processes you list are not affecting system performance.

Third, what issues are you having that are causing you to mess with services?

Just to be safe, I won't let that program anywhere near any of my ten PC's. No matter how it's spelled. :lmao:

Years and years of experience, has taught me that the only safe backup program is the one that's NOT on your OS hard drive.

That's why I only use "Ghost" from a DOS bootable Flash Drive.

I have a bootable USB flash drive with Macrium on it that I use to restore my images from. You can also take the images using that as well. There really isn't any reason you would HAVE to install Macrium on your HDD. It's just convenient that it can use the Volume Shadow Copy functionality to take a snapshot and backup your machine while you are using it, not forcing you to boot off a USB key and lose access to your machine while the backup is underway.
