how to uninstall Edge from the face of the Earth??

That exact thing happend to me.

I "force uninstalled" Edge and now I am stuck.

Apparently I had removed "edge webview" or whatever some auxiliary program is called, has been deleted. So I re-installed Edge browser... but guess what? I have no webview back. I went to their webpage (WebView2 - Microsoft Edge Developer) downloaded that but then when I try to install it the edge-view pop up tells me that I already have webview installed... except that's not true. No webview or webview2 program is visible in control pannel installed programs list. Now what?
Repair install? And then leave Edge alone!

To add, if you don't care for Edge showing on the Taskbar or Desktop just remove/unpin the icon. It will still be in the Start menu. The downside of Edge is that many programs still look for the discontinued Internet Explorer and Windows is set to open Edge in its place so the need for it still exists and usually will be reinstalled with the next Version Upgrade and maybe with some Build updates.

That's why I search from within my browser instead. Results always stay in that brower.
I hate intrusiveness and arrogance of Edge and MS, in addition I consider Edge a cyber abomination. So I also have deleted it in the correct way, so as not to create problems with the OS. To open search links from the taskbar in your favorite browser, you need to install the small application Wedge (Github), it's even better if your browser has an extension to redirect MS/Bing searches, like Chormetana Pro for chromium based browsers.
