How to Upgrade Win 10 to Win 11 after Motherboard Upgrade

If one chooses individual, he gets connected to the automatic activation service, not representative. Once typing all the numbers of the installation ID, it is usually a question of how many computers we have installed this key of Windows on. We reply 1 and we are given the activation code, provided the key has not reached the maximum activation times. If one gives a different reply he is denied activation and the key might be blocked. So be careful what you reply at each step.
That's pretty much how it works here in the US, though if automatic activation fails, we're given a number to call to get a live person.

....before you update from Windows 10, 8, 7 in Windows Update directly.
You cannot upgrade directly to Windows 11 from Windows 7, not if you want to use the W7 activation to get a digital licence for Windows 10/11. I tested that in post #46 here:

You would have to upgrade to 10 first, then when you have your digital licence you can upgrade to 11.
