My pc is Gigabyte B450 Aorus M mobo with Ryzen 5600g Cpu with built-in Vega 5 graphics that output HDMI display. Now I purchased Zebronics 5.1 speaker system which has HDMI ARC input support. Problem is that my PC only output one HDMI that goes to monitor. Can I use Sounce HDMI Bi-Directional splitter from CPU to split signal in to 2 and use one cable to monitor and other to Zebronics speakers ?
Speakers has optical input also so if HDMI audio video simultaneous splitting is not possible , can I use HDMI to HDMI and Optical audio extractor to use optical output instead ?
For any other interested, I guess a simple HDMI splitter would work. It would duplicate the HDMI output, so you can connect on the amplifier and the monitor at the same time. But I don't think you need one, shouldn't the amplifier have a pass-through? In that case connect the computer directly to the amplifier to get the audio part of the signal and connect the monitor to the pass-through of the amplifier to get the image.

Legacy MBR installation, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no WDDM 2.0 graphics drivers, no SSE4.2, cannot get more unsupported ;) This is only my test laptop. I had installed Windows 11 here before upgrading my main PC. For my main PC I use everyday see my 2nd system specs.
The speakers I purchased is 8 years old but still one of top model in mid range Philips SPA 8000 B, only have DVD, Bluetooth and Aux Inputs. I used 3 cables of stereo to RCA to connect 5.1 speakers.
Now I came know that HDMI duplicators / amplifiers exists. They are costly though.
If the purchased speakers have optical input, I could have gone for optical adapter for my mobo and connected with it rather.
Anyway I settled for old speakers as I said. I remember these solutions for next time.
The optical input would be limited to 48KHz, 16-bit Stereo. To use 5.1 you need HDMI or analogue cables. In the second case the decoding is done from the computer and the amplifier simply plays the sound.
