HP printers -- error from just one of several computers?

OS
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Win 11 Home, Version 21H2, OS build 22000.97800

2 new, identical, Win11, Lenovo laptops & 1 new, Win11, Dell XPS desktop. Existing HP 8710 & 8740 printers. All machines, including our existing Win10, connect wirelessly to the printers.

All computers connect reasonably well with the printers EXCEPT for the new Win11 Dell desktop.

Sitting at a desk looking at the Dell on the left and a Lenovo on the right. Open a Word doc, then the Print page. It will show the current printer either offline or ready or error from last print attempt. If ready and send doc to the printer, the queue will show error. Troubleshooting can’t find the problem. OTOH, the Lenovo will show both printers as Ready or Idle or Sleeping and will successfully print.

I have Removed and Added both printers on the Printers and Devices page. HP’s Print Doctor is largely useless unless you looking to buy supplies as the solution.

When in doubt, blame the wireless. Seriously, I have to wonder if the Dell has a wireless or corruption problem.

I’m open to any and all suggestions.

I did mine differently, had an OfficeJet Pro 8600 which was replaced with an OfficeJet Pro 8712 [used] then with a new OfficeJet Pro 9015. Also have an HP LaserJet Pro. Both printers are attached to the Wireless Router via Ethernet cable, any computer I install the software on whether connected via cable or Wireless/Wi-Fi to the Router can use the printers. I turn off the Wireless on them.

Ethernet wired is not an option for a bunch of reasons.

I'm not sure it will make a difference or not. Did you use the printer software to install the printer, or did you let Windows install the printer? It might pay to try both options to see if one works.

One thing did come mind, newer Routers have both 2G and 5G support. As I've read the 5G is faster data transfer but the 2G has a better range. Some pages that offer information:

The 'router' is a Google Mesh and the base is in our home office with the printers and computers. Distance is not a problem nor would the limited data we transmit.

I had Removed and Added the printers. But, I had not uninstalled the printers and downloaded current drivers. Since it's a new computer it's hard to believe the drivers aren't current or at least close. But, given my options I'm going to give the more thorough process a try.

The problem or issue with new computers and other devices is about how long they have been on a Seller's shelf. The vendors or stores don't have the manpower to keep updating machines between the time or receiving and the time of selling so that is left up to the buyer. The producers of devices that need drivers need to submit the software to the OS authors so it can be included in the OS or made available on the servers being accessed for the Upgrades or Build updates to those Upgrades. Sometimes things not in Windows releases come from the Store, easier for programmers to submit new software. This also goes along with the supposed obsolescence of devices, not having a model for sale or in the supply chain does not bring in money to pay programmers to keep updating the software to comply with the releases of new Operating Systems or Version Upgrades.

IMPORTANT New information.

I Removed the 8710 (you no longer can uninstall a specific printer in Win11 - HP since all goes through the HP App). But that's not the point.

I then attempted to Add the 8710. Neither the HP App nor Printers and... could find any printer period.

And understand that the 8740 is set as the default and prints.

Then I tried adding the 8710 by IP address. I pasted the IP address and was told NO Printers found. Again, the 8740 is printing wirelessly.

And as a reminder, the other computers are doing just fine wireleesly with both printers.

So there's clearly something really screwed up with the Dell Win11 desktop's WiFii. And the question now is: How do you reset, reboot, correct this kind of wireless problem? Oh btw, I had rebooted the router and rebooted both printers.

Case closed.
According to Dell support, the problem is the software on the NIC. Their software department has to make the changes. And I am supposed to pay for those services on a Dell computer I purchased a month ago from Costco.

The machine goes back to Costco.
