I am on the Windows 11 Beta channel running v22000.282 as the host with Hyper-V running the development channel of Windows 11 24xxx.xxxx. My question is everytime I run Hyper-V Manager, and then start the Windows 11 24xxx.xxxx client in the VM, it seems to only run the VM in the background without the visuals unless I click on Connect but the only problem with that is I never get to see the VM's output from the time it is started. Is there a way to see everything on the screen as soon as the VM is started?

Tried that and it says to click on Start in the Action menu which is what I did and after 3 seconds of the black screen, it shows:

No it doesn't. The thing is I can connect again once it makes it to the login page as monitored from the Hyper-V manager.

Hi there

@Almighty1

Test it using Macrium's viboot to boot the VM -- this should pull up the HYPER-V VM with logging etc. If you don't have Macrium download the FREE V7 version and click the viboot options on install. Viboot can boot HYPER-V VM's directly.

You can also make another HYPER-V VM automatically from a Macrium image -- works exceedingly rapidly -- to test "consistency" -- image your existing HYPER-V VM with Macrium and then run viboot against it too creating another VM if required.

Cheers
jimbo

@jimbo45 - Where does one even download viboot as I looked at Macrium viBoot and it only talks about viboot but doesn't say how to obtain it as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to download it and don't you need Macrium Reflect image files to use it?

@pparks1 - Yes, see my screenshot from post #7 above.

Yes they are the same thing AND to further quote from the same site the last page and last post, "an enhanced session seems to only work with the FIRST admin level account created. If I create another admin level account in the VM and logon with with it, selecting "Enhanced Session" in Hyper-V will log you off and log you onto the first admin account." (Only applicable if you have created another admin account)

As for viBoot you do not need to download it, it's already there in the Macrium Installer when you start the installer it will give you and option to turn viBoot on or off using a checkbox and the same for Image Guardian there

I only have one account on the Windows Development Channel VM.

Actually isn't Macrium Workstation which includes viboot another program I have to buy since it seems like it would get rather expensive to use a development test product that is giving Microsoft free feedback.

Nope, only VM installed so far. But what I noticed is that sometimes when I click on Start in Hyper-V Manager for the Windows Development Channel VM, it does actually start the V Connect Manager on it's own.

Viboot is installed at same time as Reflect from Reflect installer (you have to select option).

No it doesn't. The thing is I can connect again once it makes it to the login page as monitored from the Hyper-V manager.
This is what is causing issues. Add a password and it should work fine.

Are you talking about a password for Hyper-V or a password for Windows because I do have to login using a password in the guest OS and turned Windows Hello off because it doesn't work with Enhanced session.
