While completing my profile for W11 registration, I noticed for the first time that at the bottom of my PC information there is a one- sentence notification that HYPERVISOR IS DETECTEDScreenshot 2024-06-17 114732.png and Ihave no clue what and why all of a sudden I am so categorized. Three days ago, I reset W11 through Cloud (not Local). I don't know if it is relevant.

Welcome to ElevenForum!

Do you offhand if you have either Hyper-V, VMware, or any other virtualization software installed? If so, that would be the reason for this. If you need help determining if this is the case, let us know and we can help to guide you.

The only program I installed recently right after W11 reset (thru Cloud) is adblock and translator (from Microsoft store) which I had installed before with no problems. I have no idea what Hyper-V, VMware or virtualiztion software are and that's why I am sure I have not installed any of them (at least intentionally). Is hypervisor good or bad?

A hyperviser is a program that allows for virtualization. In simplest terms, this allows you to run virtual machines. There is more to it than this, but it is not anything to worry about. It not a "good" or a "bad" thing. It is merely a feature.

Bottom line: If you are not familiar with it, just ignore this.

The reset W11(Cloud, not Local) a few days ago was problematic and unstable. I was very slow, in and out of internet connection and many features were "acting up". So, today I re-reset (local, not Cloud) and now I am back to normal (speedier) performance and Hyperviser listing is no longer in the System Information page. I kind of expected it although I have no clue how and why. I will not reset again thru Cloud. Local is simpler, shorter and non-problematic.
