Solved I am getting a screen at boot which I cannot remove!

Hello,

After each boot I get a screen with a picture.
This screen changes regulier
After clicking on it a come in the inlog menu.

How can I get rid of this screen ?

This is standard behavior for Windows 11, that extra screen is called the lock screen.
If you want to go directly to log on screen. Put these in a .txt file and change it to .reg and merge it by right clicking on the file.
At the next restart, you will go directly to the log on prompt screen.

I've always used the Group Policy Editor method to turn off the Lock Screen image like in Brink's tutorial. That's part of my setup procedure with a new computer. Then I turn on default Dark Mode. I like to be presented with a black screen when I log in. And even that's only momentary as I use Facial Recognition, so I'm in with full hands-free automation. :hug:

That's weird! Because I never see a "Lock Screen"! I can invoke it, by holding down the Windows key while I tap the "L" key, but other than that, I never see it. ??? By the way, my Lock Screen picture is all blurrrrrrred out!

Are you sure that's not the sign-in screen blurred instead like below?

Nope!
But since the lock screen is NOT something I normally see on my PC, whether it's blurred or not, is no big deal.
The picture is blurred, not the text. The Icon, my name and the "Sign In" box are all 100% clear and readable.

And, it's not something that I really want to waste my time trying to fix. By doing that, I'm sure I'd screw up something else that's working just fine.

Win-11 is way more complex than it really needs to be. I really try to "Keep It Simple".

I agree. My lock screen doesn't have a sign in box. I have to click on the lock screen to get to the log in screen with the box to enter my pin number.

Well,it's the screen that pops up when I hit the Win+L keys. What can I say?
Since I don't use a password, I don't really ever need to Log In. Worse case, I just hit the Enter Key and go on past the screen.
I'd post a picture, but it has my name in it, and that's not for world knowledge.

PS: Actually, when I press the win+L keys, the first thing I see, for about one second is a Black Screen with white letters saying "LOCKED". then I get the blurry screen with my name on it, and a little box that says "Sign In". All I need to do then is press Enter or click it with my mouse.
But in my normal day of computing I don't see any of that.

See? You have a password, or a Pin number, so you have to Sign In. I don't have either (any) of that. I have no use for it. I keep my computer life as simple as I can, by eliminating obstacles, like log in passwords. That's nothing new. In 44 years, I've never had a personal password on any of my Computers.
Every morning, I turn on the power strip to power up my PC, and in just a few seconds, my PC boots up and displays my morning email on my monitor, and it tells me, "You've got mail" in a sweet female voice. Simple, clean and effective. Also during that boot time, my PC records a new System Restore point and deletes all the temp files from the day before, and empties the waste basket. She's not only efficient, but neat too!

All that happens without any input from me. I could be getting my first cup of coffee.

My computer does the same thing. I turn it ON and it starts up without my doing anything.

But I have one significant difference from your computer. My computer looks to see if it's me and nobody else. If somebody else tries to start it up, it refuses because it doesn't recognize them. :wink:
