I can't connect to any VPN

I bought a new laptop for work. It has Win 11 Pro. The build number is:

My old work laptop has Win 10 pro 22h2. I was using a VPN extension for Google Chrome on my old laptop. It detected my IP address before I connected to the VPN and it gave me a new IP address after I connected to the VPN and the internet worked in Google Chrome after I connected to the VPN.

I installed the same VPN extension for Google Chrome on my new laptop. It didn't detect my IP address before I connected to the VPN and it didn't give me a new IP address after I connected to the VPN and the internet is not working in Google Chrome after I connected to the VPN and I am getting this error:

I tried another VPN extension for Google Chrome. The same thing happened again.

I don't think that this is a problem with the VPN extensions because they are working fine on my other laptops that have Win 10 pro 22h2 so I think that there is something wrong with Win 11 and it's messing up the VPN. How do I make the VPN work?

Was the previous device configured by your IT department/consultant?

Some ISP's / applications might now try and restrict the use of vpn's -- but that's actually quite hard to achieve in most countries. One of the most resillient is Nordvpn -- worth a try -- also it has a good feature called "Tunnelling" which means you can exclude applications and services from vpn control when using the vpn e.g such as access to local /network storage.

Nordvpn has this feature (a lot don't) and has worked wherever I've been and I do quite a lot of travelling.

I know that but I think that issue was fixed in the latest update.

I am using Kaspersky Standard on my laptop. I completely quit it and I tried to use the VPN in Google Chrome. It worked. I ran Kaspersky Standard and then I tried to use the VPN in Google Chrome. It didn't work. Thus Kaspersky Standard is blocking the VPN. Thanks for the tip :) I will complain to Kaspersky.

I don't use Kaspersky, but don't they have their own built-in VPN you can use? Maybe it's not supplied in their 'Standard Version'.

Perhaps, Kaspersky is blocking the Google VPN because it's an extension, or they just want you to use their VPN. I don't know.

I use Norton 360 protection; it has its own built-in VPN, which I don't use. Because the IPVanish VPN which I use is much better for my uses.
