770 has pcie4 an larger slc cache. It will be much faster than the pcie3 570. It also has a longer warranty for fwi.

Sure the cache size improves reliability by 4x in the long term and ofc speed for HUGE file transfers, and IOPS is better (double) on the 770. How often does people transfer over 8GB of data at a time, that it really matters though? If they do, that 770 drive won't last long anyways. In the end it is just a slightly upgraded 570. Tech move forward...nothing special really. As I said before, both are cheap drives, and these facts don't change anything. A normal user won't see any real difference in daily use if it is used as the boot drive except longer lifespan on the 770 and more heat buildup during high load. Maybe save a few minutes during an hour long application compile...

I am not making any assumptions, just stating facts. I was only telling @Lance1 it is a faster drive - about 40% faster NAND, larger SLC cache and longer warranty I don't make assumptions about how he uses it, whether he is an average user, or whether he notices it or not. 🥱

That 770 is going tobe my boot drive. I have transferred large amounts of data but not very oftin. My SSD i'm using for a boot drive now is not very fast and I tink is giving me some issues. I can't wate for the new drive to show up. It's being shipped UPS so it shouldent take to lang.
