my email. Just kept coming in.
Makes me think how many other email accounts I used to have that I never use or even forgotten.

I like the look of the page, compared with outlook which looks very cluttered with 3 panes splashed across the page

I really have gotten away from looking at email, I prefer hand written letters.

My problem with email is bloat, it is stuffed with tens of thousands of mostly junk email, and it takes a long time to clean up and it reminds me too much of work, and I don't work anymore.

I assumed you were trying from within your browser.
10's of thousands might be pushing it though!
Don't know about Yahoo, but, Gmail you select All>Delete

Tick box (All) top left of message list > Delete.

Alternative methods are the standard ones used in many Apps. Shift + Click for start and end of range > Delete.

All of them, Webmail and including various Email clients.

Obviously with thousands it will take time.

You had better look at Yahoo T&C as some free Accounts may have sign in requirements and may freeze/delete accounts after a certain time period.

Any/all, it's a built-in Windows command

I'll define @Edwin 's contribution ...
Click (Select) first email/file in group to be deleted > Ctrl+Shift+Click last email in group to be deleted > Delete

Alternatively, CTRL+A to select everything, then holding the CTRL key click each email (that process unselects the individual item) to keep the ones you don't want to delete

Or a combination of the both - select a group of emails/files, the Ctrl+Click the odd one or two you want to keep > Delete

Works with emails (in an email client - e.g. freeware Thunderbird, eMClient) as well as file lists (e.g. Windows Explorer), etc

Alternatively, if you're using a web browser, select the All option to check all boxes, then just manually go through and untick the ones you want to keep > Delete
