This lets you transfer installed programs, accounts and files from one PC to another. I've recently used it to move selected programs from my Win 10 installation to a new Win 11 one.. and it's a real boon - a time saver.
It's possible to do it with a cable between the PCs (I've not tried that) or with the drive - or in this case a clone of the drive - of the old PC as a USB disk as source.
The interface is very neat.
It scans the old PC, then lets you select or search for what you want to transfer. If you've already trasferred things, it excludes those from future selections letting you focus on what remains.
In some cases, licenses of programs are also transferred.
Remarkably effective- if you've a LOT to move from one build to another, and want to start with a clean O/S installation, this can save you a lot of time.
