I Still Prefer Windows 10

I have long since stopped caring about what OS I'm using, I tend to use the latest full or release preview of Windows but as long as it's doing it's job, I rarely find myself thinking about it, and certainly not worrying about it.

I use the computer to perform tasks, sometimes I use Windows utilities to organise or fine tune my systems but the vast majority of the time I run applications to perform my tasks most of the time in full screen . I actually spend a lot of time in Graphics applications and so the screen I find in front of me is one designed by Adobe or one of the other developers.

I used to "care" about the ease of use of the OS when I was working professionally in the IT development and support industry, because I was "working" with the OS most of the time

I like being an early adopter. So I like Windows 11. But Microsoft keeps shooting at their feets with unnecessary system requisites like TPM. Also trying to enforce using Edge, Microsoft 365. So in this point users are becoming alienated. Feedback Hub?. There are 2 years glitches unsolved.

I think MS is trying to create a radical departure from the norm and they're fecking it up left, right and center!

I think they are still trying to make Windows an OS more for portable devices then the desktop computers. Maybe instead naming the next version Windows 12, they should name it Windows 8.2.

I'm a traditional Desktop user since whenever, I like to keep that way..., but then, that's just me, to each his own!

To be honest, I think they're trying to create an OS that users are unable to feck around with and screw it up!
Probably why they don't listen to the 'Bring back this function' crying!

I prefer a large screen because I get too much eye strain when looking at a small screen. I'll use a device with a small screen when I have to but I don't like it.

I completely agree with this (apart from the bit about Adobe, which I avoid for reasons which need not detain us here). I use the latest version that my hardware can run, because I assume it is more secure. The only time I didn't use the latest version of windows was when v 8 was released. I missed that and 8.1. I don't think Windows 11 is in any way comparable with that particular debacle.

My multi-focal contact lenses have essentially given me the eyesight I had when I was in my twenties. I can read up close and see far away just like when I was younger. I'm thankful that I no longer need to have a huge monitor at more than arms length away. I love having the portability of the two systems listed in "My Computers". I really do like the way Windows 11 adjusts to work in full tablet mode on my System Two.

I've tried every MS OS for personal use, since DOS 2.0.
And, without qualification I'm enjoying Windows 11/Pro/64 more than any other.
I just downloaded the OS from a known and trusted source, Rufusized it and installed it from a Flash Drive. That got rid of all the MS BS, conditions and stipulations and just left me with a great new OS that runs like a scalded cat on my OLD (inconpatible) PC. It's way better than Win-10 ever thought of being. I only ran 10 long enough to realize I didn't like it, and delete it.
I equate Windows 11 with a piece of modeling clay. It can become anything I can imagine it to be. And so far, I've made it MINE!
(With just a minimum of tweaking and tuning, which I do for any OS anyway.)

The person who can't deal with Win-11, has a personal problem, and should possibly consider getting counseling. :lmao:

Recently, I even installed it to a very old Dell Latitude D820, Laptop. Bios date 2008. The cpu is an Intel Centrino Duo.
And, that old Laptop is running faster than it ever has before.
I did max out the ram at 2GB and installed a 120GB SSD.
So I don't wanna hear "my pc is too old to run Win-11". If it has a 64 bit cpu, it will probably run Win-11, at least a Rufusized version.

4 computers, 3 are W11, 1 is W10. 90% of my time I am on W10, the other is 10% keeping W11 up to date. :O[

It's been nearly two years now, my main workhorses are Windows 11. But I have more machines than just those two, quite a few in regular use are still Windows 10. TBH, a lot of the time I don't really notice which I'm running, not unless I look to see whether the Start button in in the middle or to the far left :wink:
