I got up this morning and the first thing is turn the computer on.
Took some time to get on the internet as the computer reported No Internet. However there must have been as I had TV steaming.
As I was restarting the pc, I noticed half my icons are missing too.
Don't see any recent updates. Any ideas?
EDIT: I uninstalled Onedrive some weeks ago, so may be that. Researching.

I thought I had uninstalled onedrive, but on refection I had downgraded to the free version and deleted some files.
I note that when I tried google calendar I had to resign in this am.
EDIT: I tried sfc /scannow under cmd. I was logged in. it told me to reboot a pending fix. Aft er another restart I got the same message.

Right-click Desktop in File Explorer and open Properties > Location. If it shows a path under `OneDrive`, your desktop icons were likely stored in OneDrive, and deleting files there removes them from the desktop too.

Restore them from the Recycle bin at onedrive.live.com, which keeps deleted files for 30 days on a personal account. Check the Windows Recycle Bin as well if you deleted them on the PC.
