I'm looking for some info or maybe somebody could point me in the right direction. I running a Orange Pi 5 Plus SBC. I presently have the latest windows 11 arm64 preview build up an running. The sbc has an m.2 slot and emmc slot for up to a 256gb emmc memory chip. It's possible to also mount ssds via type-c hub. I have win11arm64 installed on emmc and of course it very slow. I also have a 1tb nvme ssd but can't use it in m.2 slot because it causes BSOD (ms stornvme.sys is the problem) so I have to attached it to hub. I can also install win11 there.

The has been some development on the driver stornvme.sys and I have a copy, but it's only the .sys (driver) file and no .cat or .inf to install via winpe. I've tried copying it directly to windows\system32\drivers but of course MS doesn't like me doing that and my install fails with a digital signature error code 0xc0000428.

I'm looking for any help as to how I can replace the existing stornvme.sys with mine and get past the digital signature check?????

0xc0000428 = Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

Storvme is unlikely to be the problem.

First of all, thanks to both of you for replying. What I'm trying is here is experimental at best. I don't really care if I lose the install. My problem is the install. I've downloaded win11arm64 from Select language for Windows 11, version 24H2 (26100.1150) arm64 which give me a standard bootable .iso. I then use rufus to write it to a usb drive which is pretty standard stuff. My problem lies with the stock stornvme.sys driver not working with my nvme ssd when the drive is installed in the m.2 slot. Windows can see the drive during the install process it just can't boot from it. When the system boots it throws out a bsod with the error boot drive not accessible. If I pull the nvme ssd out the slot and mount it to a type-c hub everything works fine. So my present work around is to either install to emmc drive or my nvme drive when attached to a type-c hub, both poor options.

So what I have been trying to do is mount the .iso, copy everything to a folder, use dism to mount both boot.wim and install.wim, copy "MY" stornvme.sys into windows\system32 then use dism to commit the change. I then copy boot.wim and install.wim back to the original folder, then use ImgBurn to create a bootable iso file with "MY" stornvme.sys. Run rufus again and try to install. This is when I get the 0xc0000428 error during the install. I know the digital signature is failing and that it because, MS doesn't like anyone just replacing stock drivers in windows\system32 for the obvious hacker reasons.

My question is how do I get "MY" stornvme.sys into my install .iso and pass the digital signature requirement. I'm looking for a work around.
