it keeps updating and reinstalling over and over no uninstall available how do I fix remove or block stop
pretty sure I don't need since i not using a intel GPU

Cut and paste this in a powershell window with admin privileges and hit return to run it

Workaround: stop Windows Update from offering Intel Extension 2.1.10101.17 without installing the old driver​

If Windows Update keeps offering:

Intel - Extension - 2.1.10101.17

there is a simple workaround: stage the original driver package in the Windows Driver Store without installing or activating it.

The attached CAB is the original Microsoft-delivered Windows Update package for this driver. It was obtained directly through Windows Update and has not been modified.

1. Extract the CAB archive​

Extract the CAB into a folder. It contains the original Intel driver package files:

ipf_ef_ext.inf
ipf_ef_ext.cat
For example:

C:\IntelIPF

2. Stage the INF in the Driver Store — DO NOT install it​

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:

pnputil /add-driver "C:\IntelIPF\ipf_ef_ext.inf"
You should see something similar to:

Adding driver package: ipf_ef_ext.inf
Driver package successfully added.
Published Name: oemXX.inf

Total driver packages: 1
Added driver packages: 1
Important: do NOT use /install.

/add-driver stages the package in the Windows Driver Store without installing it on the device.

3. Check Windows Update​

Run a new Windows Update search.

After staging the package, Windows Update should stop offering:

Intel - Extension - 2.1.10101.17
The old Extension package remains in the Driver Store, but it is not activated as the current device driver.

The newer Intel Innovation Platform Framework driver can therefore remain installed and active.

Why this works​

This does not hide the update and does not install the old driver.

It simply stages the original Microsoft-delivered driver package in the Driver Store. In my testing, this was enough to make Windows Update stop offering the same 2.1.10101.17 package.

The command​

pnputil /add-driver "PATH_TO_EXTRACTED_FOLDER\ipf_ef_ext.inf"
Do not add /install.
