Solved Intel RST Driver

As far as I can tell, the IRST driver is not installed on my system. I recently installed a i5-11600KF along with a Samsung 980 Pro 4.0 NVMe, and booting to a freshly made Win 11 insallation USB, setup can see all my NVMe's including the 980 Pro. Do I even need the Intel RST driver? Never going to install a RAID and my computer runs perfectly fine.

I was reading a recent thread about needing the driver on the USB to clean install, but looks like I can clean install as-is. Thoughts?

Those are drivers should of installed on a USB then on this screen just above in quote where it says load drivers.Should be loaded from a USB before you install windows.

If you can access the drives without the IRST drivers then you don't need them. Look under Storage Controllers. You will find your NVMe driver there.

Unless you need the Intel drivers to access specific disks and hardware as directed by the device manufacturer then no, you do not need the RST drivers installed.
The Intel RST package is for more than just RAID, it also handles Optane. There is also an Intel specific NVME driver but all it does is enabled use of TRIM on certain drives (660 series for example) in the OS and dynamic cache clearing, otherwise the drive works fine with just the Windows default NVME driver.

Yup, looks like it uses the Standard NVM Express controller provided by Microsoft, as shown on the picture in my OP.
