Is anyone familiar with the Intel Graphics Command Center? I am running an OEM grahics driver for my laptop and lost the grahics control panel when I upgraded to windows 11. Since I am not having any problems I haven't had a need to use an interface for my graphics chip UHD 620 but am wondering if the Graphics Command center is any good. Windows did not install it automatically. It will not update my drivers automatically will it? I hate problems with Graphics drivers.

I have it installed through the Store. It may have installed automatically, I don't remember deliberately choosing to install it.

The Intel Graphics Command Center does not appear to have any automatic driver update function, the only reference to drivers seems to be a manual link to download drivers using your browser.

My display drivers are updated automatically, but that is done by Windows Update, not the Command Center.

If you don't want your drivers updated automatically by Windows Update, then you can turn that off.

fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

I remember disabling driver updates quite a long time ago in windows 10 and remember doing some registry work because windows kept updating my drivers and I started to have problems. For the life of me I cannot remember , and cannot find my notes on what I did. The intel update utility will not install its controls on my system. I tried re-enabling driver updates in windows but have not seen any optional updates for my laptop. I am not overly concerned with updating at this point but my drivers are a few years old and at some point I may need to . I am going to clean install windows 11 soon so my concerns are probably moot as a clean install will probably install new drivers.

I think it serves no practical purpose as gamers wouldn't use Intel and it doesn't do anything for day to day computing.

As a gamer myself, completely agree. I don't even have the integrated GPU enabled (nor are the drivers installed).

I have it installed. Fine tuning contrast and brightness, even some fine color tuning. You can't do this without it.

About a year ago I had to choose laminate tiles for a condo. The colour of the tiles on the computer did not match the colour of the tiles in the store. I disabled the intel driver and the colour with the generic microsoft driver was a better match to the real colour. This was my old win 10 desktop

I now have new hardware in my desktop and win 11. The display driver installed with win 11 are fine for my need.

Have a feeling that Intel's default settings have a bit too much contrast
On the Huawei user site on Reddit it was recommended to use it to disable the monitor refresh but I do not seem to be having any problems with a refreshing screen except when I open edge. Edge will load and then immedialely refresh (reload) the page. Since it isn't happening anywhere else I am chalking this up to edge. Just had an Edge update and it still happens. After the refresh Edge is fine. Just happens when opening. Have been through the edge settings and researched the issue and cannot find too info out there on it. I may start a new thread in the appropiate section for that issue.
