After finally upgrading to win11 I couldn't open file explorer from my pinned shortcut. I found a fix that involved, strangely enough, changing the icon. But now my computer updated without my knowing it was going to and once again, I can't open it from the shortcut. Is there an easy fix? I rarely even use my PC so I'm not willing to do a reinstall or anything but it would be nice if it worked like it's supposed to. It's win11 and the computer is a custom build. thank you
edit-now no files will open at all. One did (an open office file), I edited it and saved it, closed it, renamed it, and now it doesn't open. Just a spinning circle and nothing. I rebooted and they opened but once closed, they won't open again.
my specs:
Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 23H2
Installed on 11/15/2024
OS build 22631.4602
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1055.0
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.78 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
