When select a line in notepad, drag cursor all the way to the end, it automatically add line break into selection.

I don't understand the logic here. I only select this line, cursor stays in this line, why would you add line break to the selection?

The logic should be if you move cursor to the beginning of next line while selecting, then you add line break.

I just never understand how some people are thinking.

Notepad++ does the same thing. If you stop your drag right at the edge of the last letter or character, instead of into empty space, you should not get a line break.
