It's a pain on slow connections to wait for it to download and compile the ISO.
There should be somewhere you can just download the needed ISO, like os.click/en
No doubt a few people here have a nice archive of ISO's ...

Use the latest ISO then follow it by windows update. That is essentially what UUPDump does anyhow.

You're the first person I've seen doing that.

Mind you, I stuck around with 23H2 until the last minute and then used buggy 24H2 for about 5 minutes before updating to 25H2. 😉

25H2 is fairly bug-free. I know a few have had issues, but mine's been rock solid.

So you are happy to carry on using a version that will be out of support in not too distant future and could have security holes that never get fixed?

Even though 24H2 may still be supported, do you think it will be top priority for MS to update?

As @Ghot says, 25H2 is pretty rock solid.

BEST PLAN: Make an image backup, update to 25H2 and try it knowing you can safely revert if you get any issues.

I installed Win 11 24h2 and had some issues so I restored Win 11 23h2.
I've installed Win 11 25h2 when it was released and for my surprise all issues of Win 11 24h2 were gone.

I'm running 25H2, no issues here. 24H2 and 25H2 shared the same codebase and 25H2 is an enablement package to turn on features that are already in the codebase.

All versions of Windows 11 share the same code base. They don’t start over with each version.

What 24H2 and 25H2 share is a servicing branch, meaning they get the same updates. So the answer to this question is actually yes.

"Rock solid" on YOUR system doesn't make it rock solid for everyone. :cool:

In time no doubt, not yet. Why upgrade when MS can't even fix the bugs in 24H2...
Whatever happened to Windows 9? :LOL:

A lot of people want to tinker with their pc's, play games and get "the latest and greatest" insider (guinea pig) updates, and that's their choice.
Others like me and the business world want and need stability and reliability.
I had my Win 7 for 11 years and NEVER once had to reinstall. Restored a Reflect image twice due to failed uninstalls of some apps, but certainly not the "just run a repair upgrade" mindset prevalent with W11. You shouldn't have to repair the system every few weeks or months.
Soon, no-one will know how to actually fix anything...

i am not normally a Windows user, more at home on Linux, but Windows 25H2 is absolutely rock solid
no issues on two all in one desktops both running 25H2, mine and the wife's.

25H2 is as solid as Windows can be. I have it installed on several computers. (plenty more than listed in my specs). Certain computer configurations have issues no matter which version one runs. None of my very different setups have these issues though.
