Hey guys,

I have seen many memory optimizer on websites and I want to know if this memory optimizer is good to go ?

Memory Cleaner

Or is it possible to make a reg file of Samsung optimize memory ?

Regards.

not really Windows is best left to handle memory allocation. it has improved vastly over the years.
also with 32GB of Ram that you have in your spec sheet there shouldn't be any need to.

the link you have posted gives me dire warnings of suspect TLD by malwarebytes, so i will give the site a miss.
best of luck, Steve ..

I have now Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 with 16GGB RAM so thatswhy I want to have good memory optimizer. I am thinking to go back to use Lenovo T490s with 32GB RAM.

Problem is Lenovo works with if I use 2-3 vmware at same time but on Samsung it hangs as RAM is low.

Furthermore, I use to download from that website as it have alot of softwares and many stuff.

WINDOWS 11 PERFORMANCE TWEAKS

Before using an added 3rd party memory optimizer, I would recommend starting with tweaking your windows performance settings, adjusting performance options, paging file size, removing unnecessary items from your Windows 11 startup (access via Ctrl+Shift+ESC).

Go to SETTINGS and SEARCH FOR: performance

performance-1.webp
Adjust your Visual Effects to suit your desired taste / results.
I chose Custom for mine. When finished click APPLY.
performance-2.webp
Next, click the ADVANCED tab at the top. I Adjusted my PC for best performance of PROGRAMS.

Next, for Virtual Memory settings, click CHANGE.

performance-3.webp

To determine your optimal paging file size, calculate your RAM amount multiplied by 1024 and then multiply that by 1.5.

To calculate the correct value for YOUR PC, take amount of RAM X 1024 X 1.5 = your paging size.

Example:
If your PC has 32MB RAM X 1024 X 1.5 = 49152

If your PC has 64MB RAM X 1024 X 1.5 = 98304

Next, change initial & maximum to same number depending on your system RAM calculation result, click SET and OK.

performance-4.webp

Perhaps after that, using O+O ShutUp10++ (available at O&O ShutUp10++ - O&O Software GmbH) which slows or stops backdoor monitoring / snooping / surveying by Microsoft which can affect Windows 11 performance.

I'd also recommend turning off the widget on the taskbar near the systray / clock end.

If after these steps your Windows 11 system performance feels good, you may not need a 3rd party memory optimizer.

I've done these performance tweaks on every Windows computer that I've worked on, and they ALWAYS perform better and never fail.

Hope this helps anyone who reads it.
Good luck.

That 1.5xRAM rule of thumb is absolute rubbish nowadays. It is decades old and meant something back in days when pcs only had say 2GB RAM and apps would OCCASIONALLY exceed that.

Just let windows to size the pagefile automatically.

If one wants to manually set a page file, one needs to examine the committed memory in Task Manager when running most arduous memory apps.

OPs issue is 16GB is just not enough to run more than 1 VMware VM comfortably (2 at a stretch).

I can run 2 Hyper-V vms on my 16GB reasonably ok but performance with 3 or more just drops off rapidly.

As I initimated earlier, Virtual RAM is really only intended for peak shaving when RAM needs occasionally exceeds actual RAM. It is not intended to be a subsitute for actual RAM on a continuous basis.

OP's solution is simple - buy more RAM for 16GB pc or restrict number of VMs. Also set paging to automatic. Using 32GB pc would help.

Setting huge pagefiles just wastes storage.

I would also suggest trying Hyper-V over Vmware as it will be more memory efficient being a type 1 hypervisor. Type 2 hypervisors like vmware sit on top of OS and use more innate memory. However with 16GB, you could really run only 2 comfortably as I said.

Well it would, wouldn't it? With half the RAM of the Lenovo you'd only be able to run half the number of VMs before you run out of memory. RAM is exclusively assigned to each running VM, you could probably run more of them by lowering the RAM assigned to each.

My host machine has 32GB RAM. My Hyper-V VMs are all assigned dynamic memory, so they get what they ask for - usually less than 2GB when not busy. For a laugh I thought I'd see just how many I could run at once. I got up to 10 before I ran out of RAM. Typically I'll work with 3 or 4 running at once.

UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:
fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

Memory optimizer programs are useless at best and detrimental at worst. If you run out of RAM on a regular basis it's best to invest in more RAM instead of wasting money on a useless piece of software.

To run utility like that, it needs to stay resident in RAM and possibly take more memory than it can "save".

I have assigned 2GB RAM on all vmware.
That is not enough for Windows Guests - you need at least 4GB.

Despite all advice - you really are not listening. Memory Optimisers are a load of crock.

Windows 10/11 have its own inbuilt memory optimisation - no 3rd party tools are of any use - in fact they are more likely to interfere.

As clearly stated, buy more RAM or limit number of vms.

The simple equation is you cannot put a quart in a pint pot.

(y) (y) You are so right! Windows 11 handles memory so well that there's no reason to use third party memory programs.

@jk22 you can always try this old registry trick. it may help.

as Windows can still play around a bit with memory usage.
best of luck, Steve ..
