Solved Is your smart TV a secret proxy? LG to suspend rogue apps, Samsung sets impacted too

I bought a large screen Samsung Smart TV last year. Plugged it in, updated all the firmware, then turned the network off.
You can't buy a large screen dumb TV anymore, so that's what has to be done sadly.
I have an external home theater audio/video box from Denon, and use it and the cable box to source material.
So the TV is relegated to just being a monitor.

The manufacturers are paid to install the apps onto the devices.
It is very difficult to get a non smart tv.
A colleague brought a a commercial LG Display and is hooked to Apple Tv.
He said it is more responsive than a TV loaded with Apps

The old fridges used to last for decades.
I still have one. I pity the little guy inside that turns the light off and on every time I open it. He hasn't failed me once.

I just bought a new Liebherr fridge and separate freezer with a 10 year Liebherr warranty

My Sister has a Two Door Liebherr and it is very well made. She has been happy with it so far.
She was not so lucky with a Premium brand washing machine which had a design flaw with the motor.
At the time the Local Branch of the International Company was located in the same suburb where she lived.
After the second motor stopped working the Local Branch told her they were waiting for a redesigned motor to arrive from overseas and had stopped supplying the old motors.
Mum lived in the next Suburb and they played tag for about a month with dirty and clean washing loads, Mum did not complain as she got to spend more time with the Grand Children.
