After updating to Build(26100.712), my SD card reader (integrated on motherboard) was 'lost' -
  • not recognised by File Explorer
  • present in Device Management
  • present in BIOS
  • re-install of device driver had no effect
After trying several remedial actions, I finally got to work by doing the following -
  • removed the the device from my system in Device Management
  • added it back in Device Management
  • re-installed the device driver
and, crucially,
  • added a drive letter to the media, which was initially 'none' even though it was set under 23H2

Thanks for the post. Unfortunately, I've tried that. Namely, I've removed the driver from Device Manager and installed it back (gives that generic 2006 driver). As for the drive letter, the SD memory card (for his camera) has a drive letter assigned to it. It just doesn't function correctly.
