I have an issue booting my device -

Sometimes when I boot from 'cold' device it sometimes appears to 'loop' in the the initial BIOS process(es) and repeated hard shutdowns do not clear it. The only way I can clear it is to remove the AC power source - that is by unplugging the AC power cable. Dell are looking into this by a long outstanding Service Request; it's made the more difficult as I'm not not able to provide any diagnostics. In trying to resolve this, Dell have replaced my MOBO 3 times and, on the last occasion, the processor as well.

If my device gets past this situation, I expect to be be presented with my Boot Menu screen -

Windows Boot Menu.webp

I usually pick the 'Windows 11' option and my device opens the Windows 11 login window.

Windows Login.webp

However, a fair percentage of the times it completely misses out the Boot Menu screen and goes straight to the Windows login window

I have my Windows boot drive configured thus -

Can anyone suggest what is happening?

If you have been in touch with Dell Support, they probably already suggested this. Set your Bios to Defaults. Also, download and Flash the latest Bios from the Dell download page. Can you restart and press F12 and run the Dell Diagnostics? This would also be your one time Boot menu.

You may want to remove the Easeus and Macrium Boot items from your Boot menu.
Try one at a time and see if that improves. You don't need these items in your boot menu. You can build USB Boot Flash drives for these apps to boot from, if you want to use them and manually backup or whatever you are doing with these items.

For diagnosing hardware issues [outside of Windows] I use a Linux LiveUSB Thumb drive to see if most things work. The drive acts as a portable OS and helps in checking many of the resources of the motherboard.

just a few thoughts.
first i would check within the BIOS the boot manager and remove anything that is not needed and just leave the Windows Boot entry.

second check system configuration (windows tools) and see what is the boot menu and startup menu.

thirdly at the Admin command prompt run > sfc /scannow <

lastly i would check in advanced system settings > Advanced > startup and recovery press the settings button
on this menu 'untick' Automatic Restart.

see if that gives any improvement. best of luck, Steve ..
