My motherboard has a "1 x SPI TPM header"
but I have Secure boot disabled in the BIOS...
since it can cause more headaches then its worth...
this makes me wonder if I will be able to upgrade Windows 11 either.

I just built/upgraded this system last June 2020...
so I am not going anywhere anytime soon.. can't afford this crap Microsoft

Same here, no TPM on any of l my 3 systems. Good excuse to upgrade to a new system.

Mine may have Firmware TPM... I'm not really sure.
This is in my BIOS...

I have a relatively NEW work station motherboard (X570 chipset)

Honestly... I'm afraid to enable AMD fTPM, cause I have no idea what those setting(s) do.

I made this reply earlier and then deleted it - because I didn't want to start off on a bad note here with a hack... Been following you guys and a member since the beginning of 7 and I'm grateful to you all.
But I wanted to be able to try 11.
I got the "this PC can't run W11" error. I'm going to assume it is the TPM

There is a workaround to try 11 on older hardware for now. It worked for me.
But don't flame me - I'm just trying to be helpful to people that want to try before they buy new hardware... If it's not cool I'll delete and observe.

Open the "sources" folder on a Windows 10 install disc or flash and copy everything EXCEPT "install.esd" or "install.wim" and paste it into the "sources" folder of your windows 11 flash drive.
I installed on my older pc (see my specs)and it works flawlessly.

I haven't tried any of this yet, but I found this on reddit, and 4-5 people said it worked for them...

Alternatively, replace appraiserres.dll in the sources folder with a copy from a regular Windows 10 ISO.

This will make the checking process the same as the build you copied it from.

This worked like a charm. No TPM, no secure boot.

The 24th is merely the date of the announcement from Microsoft, it's rather unlikely that the leaked development build will ever be officially released.

After the 24th I would expect the normal development route to be followed, the Insiders would get builds over time for trial and comment and then the next stage and so on. I'm not sure how many iterations that process will go through before it's ready for release but it may be Months before an official release

The presence of a Header alone would not on it's own qualify as the presence of a TPM module, [if this is a requirement in the release version] what the header does is allows you to add the chip at a later date. I think there are a few manufacturers who went this way a few years ago when the TPM module started becoming more popular, it obviously keeps costs down but allows the option of compatibility if and when the TPM becomes required.

With a purely development build internally within MS I would expect a requirement for TPM and Secure Boot to protect the code from theft, [How's that going so far Microsoft?]

There are already hacks available in the Wild so it may be that the requirement may be less of an issue than it could have been, [and may be in the future as security is more and more important to all of us these days ]

Yes I had posted this earlier in the day that this worked for me on my older towers as well.
It was an easy work around, and so happy I don't have to bother with any requirements just to add on Windows 11
All my towers work excellent as is, and I'm in no mood to spend lots more $ for new rigs to appease Windows 11 requirements.

I noticed my 2012 Gigabyte motherboard has the socket but no TPM module. Can you screw up your PC if you install the TPM then something goes wrong it?

How to install Windows 11 without TPM 2.0

Yow you can install Windows 11 without TPM on unsupported hardware using ISO or perform an upgrade. It won't do TPM, Secure Boot, and other checks.
