Solved Just converted to Windows 11, but getting Blue Screen of Death

The V2 log collector runs in normal boot and safe mode.

For safe mode without networking:
Find a flash drive with free space.
Find a working Windows computer.
Download the V2 log collector to the flash drive.
Move the flash drive to the problematic computer
Run the V2 log collector and save the results to the flash drive
Move the flash drive to the working Windows computer

You can use Windows 10 driver.

Unfortunately, they didn't make it that easy. When I saw that the drivers were from 2015, I figured this would be easy. I am using my old computer, so I would download the drivers and transport it to my main computer with a jump drive, but the company's website did not have drivers for that card, and every third party website that said they had the driver either wanted me to download some questionable software loader, or showed up as malware by my virus protection. I just figured it was safer to just buy a new Ethernet adapter.

What had happened with the startup repair?

What had happened rerunning the Windows RE commands?

Before I found out that I could boot in safe mode (I found out after re-reading the tutorial you sent, I was trying to get to safe mode through my BIOS with no luck), I tried to do a clean install of Windows 11, but it kept telling me that my computer was not compatible, and when I tried to use the repair function in Windows RE, it kept saying that it could not repair the files (I forgot the exact error that I got). So as of now, it boots up just fine in Windows 11, but, just without internet until my new Ethernet card arrives.

These latest dumps are a tad confusing, although memory does seem to be a common denominator. All four BSODs occurred during different operations are no there are no common drivers or functions involved. One fails whilst freeing a memory pool, another fails freeing a memory heap (a heap is an area of allocated memory), and one fails whilst freeing an IRP (an interrupt request packet). The common denominator there is memory.

The fourth dump fails during a networking operation, and with a third-party driver on the call stack; rt640x64.sys. This is a Realtek PCI/PCIe Ethernet Adapter driver and it's quite old, dating from May 2021...

I don't think it likely that this is the cause of the other BSODs however, but you might want to update the driver for whichever network adapter this is (probably the TP-Link adapter). I note also that both of the Ethernet adapters that you have installed are both disabled...
Code:
TP-Link Gigabit PCI Express Adapter PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_34687470&REV_06\4&1A5B4E11&0&00E7 This device is disabled.
Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15B8&SUBSYS_86721043&REV_00\3&11583659&0&FE This device is disabled.
I wonder how a driver for a disabled device is still being used? I also wonder how you're connecting to the Internet?

You said in your original post that you...
After a long journey, with the help from the kind folks in the Windows 10 forums, I finally got my computer converted over to Windows 11, and it worked for all of 15 minutes.
How did you install Windows 11? Did you upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 in place, or did you clean install Windows 11 from bootable media (deleting existing UEFI partitions)? If the former then that may well be the root of your problems.

Why was it so difficult to upgrade/install Windows 11?

My apologies, I'm writing this quickly since I start work in a few minutes.

I converted from Windows 10 to 11 using an ISO file on a jump drive. I didn't do a clean install.

When I converted over after following your instructions, the first BSOD happened when I tried to get on the internet. My computer was involved in a lightning strike a few years back, which is why I have the PCIe adapter in there. I have an older computer that I was running files back and forth from, which became easier after I found a way to get into safe mode. Safe mode with networking failed, and then someone suggested shutting down the network card, then I was finally able to log on normally, just without internet. That's why the adapters show as disconnected in the logs. Every time I reactivate them, I instantly get the BSOD.

For some reason, the Realtek site did not have drivers for that card, so I ordered a new one, it should be here in a few days. I have no trouble so far with getting into the system otherwise, and it's running in Windows 11.

I'm hoping that once the new card is installed, I'll be good, fingers crossed!

The V2 log collector appears to have run while in normal boot instead of safe mode.

Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /cleanup-image /Restorehealth
DISM /Online /Get-OSUninstallWindow
DISM /Online /Set-OSUninstallWindow /Value:60

Post images or share links displaying error messages or codes.

Please run Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes:

Plan to run Memtest86+ overnight while sleeping and during the next day.

The 32GB RAM can be tested at one time or one module can be tested at a time in the same DIMM.

Just 1 error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

Sorry, when I got your instructions, I was already asleep :)
I will run the MemTest after work today when I have time to properly review the instructions, but I did run the Scannow string. Files and pics enclosed, let me know if I am missing anything and I can re-run it.

Thanks for your continued diligence and patience.

Why was it so difficult to get Windows 11 installed?
Mostly due to driver issues. I've been doing OS conversions on my computers since Windows ME, and I've never had this much trouble before.

When I first did the conversion, it said that I had to upgrade my BIOS, which I did. Then every time I tried to run the conversion, it would get almost there, then revert back to 10, and it would continually try to convert during Windows Updates. Then I consulted the help of the Windows 10/11 forums, and the rest you know :) But during the process, it seemed to be drivers that were the main problem (video drivers and my ethernet card drivers). I'm on Windows 11 now on my main computer, but I can't log onto the internet until my new Ethernet adapter arrives. The computer I'm on now is too old and not compatible with Win 11.

This is why I never recommend upgrading in place. If you'd clean installed Windows 11 I doubt you'd have had these problems.

Will do. I'm still waiting on that Ethernet card. I ran the memory test. I thought I could run it before I left for Thanksgiving dinner, it ran for 10 hours and 7 passes, but no errors. If I absolutely need 8 passes, I'll run it again tonight into tomorrow.

Thanks, and everyone enjoy your holiday!

When I put in the new Ethernet Card, I was able to log on in Windows 11 and connect to the internet with no issues.

I ran the scannow command and it did not find any integrity violations.

I should be good from here on out, if anything comes up, I will start a new thread.

Thanks to everyone for your help and patience.
