'Removing' as far as the registry is concerned deletes the key and its sub-branch.
'Updating' keeps the structure of the key and only the value , usually Boolean, is changed.

An update/edit of values is usually preferred in case the functionality needs restoring.
This is not a factor if image backups are performed.

Had a go with the Chrome browser.

Worked on my PC like a charm, failed on my laptop.
It's really weird, it's like the registry changes had no effect whatsoever.

It is a Google option as I remember some time ago it showing me an option to not use it but I did not respond that I remember because I kinda like it. If you select AI Mode before you do the search it only give AI answers otherwise it gives both. I do suspect some of the answers and check the sources because the sources are not always reliable. In AI mode you can keep asking questions and it keeps the context of the first question like it does with ChatGPT

Strangely, only Edge and Chrome (Brave) appeared in that Powershell command line menu as options with Firefox being omitted.

Even after closing Firefox and running that Powershell command line again, Firefox again fails to appear.
