Hi,
Before the update everything was fine.
Was using K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1690_Mega.
After the installation sound just did not work correctly.
Did a sfc /scannow nothing found.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the pack.
No change.
If you are watching a video and the sound goes the video stops playing very shortly after.

Looking for advice as to what I should try now to fix this.
Thanks,

Have also found that I can no longer get two lines of icons on the right-hand side of the taskbar.
You can no longer increase the height of the toolbar by using the cursor.

David

Can't you revert back to the previous version?

Tried but got the following error screen.
I only have one restore point available.
I am an idiot. Had run sfc and dism and nothing changed but just now
tried the Windows update troubleshooter and it says it made some changes.
What changes it did not say.
So am going to try and do the restore from safe mode again.
I just tried it again and after a while of it saying restoring files it failed with the same error as before.
Just rebooted to get back to this screen and the sound problem is no more.
Windows is weird and wonderful.
So the fix that the troubleshooter did fixed this issue. What?????????

Thank you Archigos. I did not know about that route. Will make a note of that for the future.

Now my only issue is why the taskbar no longer allows two rows of small icons on right hand side beside time
.

I already cleaned mine, but when you updated to 22581.1 it created a "Previous Windows" that you should be able to roll back to that has nothing to do with Restore Points... it's under Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options -> Recovery -> Go Back

Hope that helps

I have seen it before where Restore seems to fail but then you find the fault fixed after rebooting. Weird.

I suspect "Now my only issue is why the taskbar no longer allows two rows of small icons on right hand side beside time" is a bug that will get fixed as your Beta version gets developed.

Yip. Have found Youtube videos that seem to imply that only changes to the registry allow you to modify the size of the taskbar and at the same time the icon size changes as well. You no longer sem to be allowed to change the size of the taskbar by doing the resize operation to increase its height. Is that correct do you know.
